The last competition was lots of fun.

There was so many TFFers, great food, and it benefited a seriously GREAT group of people ( http://www.campcraigallen.org/ ) last year.

What say ye? You would be the organizer unless my useless skills are needed.

Lets try to compete before the end of March or April.?.? Maybe March 6th? Nice weather that way.

I would like to open a wings category this time if we can.

WHAT SAY THE PEOPLE OF THE TFF?

------------------------------------------------------------

Date - April 17, and we will acquire the pavilion again this year.

We will do this just like we did last year. You will donate to eat, donate to cook, and donate to judge. 100% of proceeds will go to Camp Craig Allen, and will count toward the TFF's total fund raising for the 2010 cookoff in Sept.

It will be something easy, but WE WILL BEAT Team Go Meat this year on fund raising!!

$10 - for each cooking entry you wish to compete in
$15 - Adults to either judge or just to come and pig out
$5 - for kids 10 & under

Categories -

Brisket
Ribs (pork spare)
Pork butt
Chicken (grilled or smoked will be allowed)
Wings
Beans (roll your own with this one)
Dessert

New Category this year -
Chili

Remember this is not only for bragging rights, but for our TFF charity - Camp Craig Allen

Here is a link to the pavilion and a couple of map pics. You basically cross the dam on lake Grapevine, and make your very first left turn into the park. The guard will direct you to the pavilion.

=> Link to Map <=

Here are the categories with turn in times.

Chili - 11:00

Beans - 11:30 (baked)

Wings - 12:00

Chicken - 12:30 (leg quarters)

Pulled Pork - 1:00 (no sauce)

Ribs - 1:30

Brisket - 2:00

Dessert - 2:00

General lunch/dinner will start at 2:00, but we will have munchies and appetizers all day. Come hungry

Would your rebarless foundation be able to hold the collective weight of the TFF? hmmm

This will be great gang.

Lots to offer.

I'm ready to help and assist with anything (keep that reasonable).

All wing and/or breast categories is on me as long as we can "meat" up arounf BPS prior to the event.

Actually April 17 does sound good, however I do have competitions planned for:

4- 9-10 Ennis, TX - Bluebonnet Festival & BBQ Cookoff

4- 23-24 Muenster, TX - Germanfest BBQ Cookoff

That would be 3 weekends in a row of cooking and competing. I'm sure I can be up for it.

You can pull out of the Ennis one if you need a break. I will be winning that one.
