We didn't take any picures of the kingfish we caught..... cuz they were kingfish.....
But it was pretty fun catching them on topwater. Watching a big 40"king jump 5ft out of the water to get your lure is pretty exciting. Almost as exciting as seeing a 30lb striper crush your popper at DD. Ohhh how I miss those days!

Those days are here. Came back from the dam with three crushed poppers. Time to upgrade my hooks!!!!!!!!! Big mamas up to 20 pounds

I hate to interrupt the grouper/groupie talk, haha, but can you fish the spillway at Whitney and if so, is it worth the trip?
I'm about to run out of spots to fish from the bank, damn it sucks not having a boat.

Sorry I do not know about Whitney spillway. Not kicking you out but you may get more hits on a seperate thread. Isle du bois at Ray Roberts should be good with a west wind this time of year.
