went and fished the corner(bahama bank) on sunday...no tuna to be found and no flocks of birds on radar so we went bottom fishing...if you have never bottomed fished at the corner you have something to do before you die...it was EPIC! There was no current I was using 4oz in 400ft with 80lb cortland braid. Those are some 5-6 pound giant flag yellowtails for scale.

Lake side no good! Water temp and water level change. Fish move into deep. DD at OK wall, dinks all day long. Finger size, lot of them. I saw people using frozen or live shads. DD at TX wall very decent in the morning. Fishes were not picky, they hit poppers, jigs, shads. I caught about 15 fishes with popper, 2 with jig, most of them before 1:30pm. Did not fish at DD for almost 4 weeks, so I did not have high expectation for today. I started out with popper, tried feww spots, did not get any bites. When I thrown my popper behind the rock with swift current, I got a bite, missed the fish, small one though. I slow down reel in, and few pops later, I caught my first fish of the day: 31", 10.5#. I was totally suprised, but very happy. I also caught one 25", 6#.
I met a new guy, Luis, Vietnamese, very good fishman. He is very good with poppers. He outcasts me by a mile at least! He caught one about 5#, and one 3#.
Only shads were good in the hot afternoon. Left at 4pm, went to lake side to show Dunkky Dude where my secret fishing spots are.
Big mammas are there.

I am no better fishman than the guy fishing next to me. I caught those big fishes with lot of persistance, good timing and lot of luck. That's lot of fun to catch big ones. I caught so many dinks on lake side for last few weeks, but did not get any kick out of it.

The guy next to me is usually better now. Nice fish moon, I hope the water holds out for another week so Roy, and I can make a run. Fellas keep up the good work, and y'all stay safe.

Signed: No fish in LA.

Report from this morning--------dinkfest!!!! I went to scratch an itch I had to pull some stripers but it just pissed me off. Only caught one that went 20 inches the rest were 12-15 inches. Boooooooooo but I did catch a buttload. They hit poppers till nine then cork and jig later.....I quit when the airboat using live Shad stopped getting bites too. I would rather fish on my iPhone for now.
