4th Annual BreamBuster's Fish-Fry

O.K. troops! You have been wondering and now we are happy to announce that the 4th Annual TFF BreamBuster's Fish-Fry will be held at the Fairfield Lake State Park dining hall on May 1st.

Those who have been to one or more of the first three fish-fries know what it is all about but you will still have to put up with my explanation to those who will be joining us for the first time. This is a open invitation to join us for some excellent bream fishing and eating at one of the best bream lakes in Texas. We will be available to discuss some of Fairfield's bream fishing Spring techniques to the newbees and help you all we can to make this an enjoyable event.

What we do is go down and fish on the Friday before the Saturday fish-fry and bring in what we catch to the dining hall Saturday around noon, cook them up for lunch.

Everyone is asked to do a couple of things:

1. Answer this post saying you wish to attend. (State how many will accompany you.)
2. State what you will be bringing in the way of food, drinks, utensils, ice, cookers, oil, etc.
3. Share in the expense of renting the dining hall for the day ($100.00).
4. Use this particular post to answer 1,2 & 3 above. (we will use that for a head count and to make sure we aren't
all bringing the same thing.)

Oh, and maybe clean some bluegills (monsters)!!

Some of us will be camping overnite at the Cook's Ferry section on Friday night. You are welcome to reserve a site and join us there, if you wish.

I'll be there...hopefully my medical issue will be over by then and not drained too much...God willing and will confirm as we get closer. Main thing that will keep me from attending this year will be my health issue.

Hope to bring the boat if I have my repairs complete and tested.

I am a newbie to the board. But me and the Misses and grandson will be down there that whole week camping and then on FRI-Sun his Souts Troop 771 from Irving will be there. So if I can Scoot away from them a little bit we will be there. Count us three and we will also bring some grub to add. have to ask the Misses what she might want to russel up. Cant Wait.

We will bring Dutch ovens and can prepare beef roast and brussel sprouts,
along with some sweet potatoes w/Onions if the fish aren't biting. Will make
a large Peach Cobbler - if the fish are biting!

I have a question. I was down in Fairfield this weekend scouting out a campsite for that weekend and was wandering is there a place close by that sells minowows.

lr....not sure about the minnows down that way. Maybe if you posted in a seperate 'New Topic' post and asked the question, it might get more and quicker results. Sorry I couldn't help.
