I posted this in the boats/motor discussion, but wasn't sure how many people visit down there! wink

Anybody have or know anything about this trolling motor? I can't find any info on it on the web. It's probablly from around the late 70's early 80's since that is how old my boat is.

I want to know how many pounds of thrust this trolling motor has. It works just fine, but I'm going to upgrade anyways.

Thanks!

I had a 45 lb MG Brute when I bought my 90 model Skeeter. Look at it from the weight of your boat.

Mine is a 19' fiberglass with 150 Yam. I replaced it with a MG 70 lb. Works Great on speeds 1-4 but if motor sideways on 5th speed, can throw you out of boat. 5th speed will do 5 mph on gps for my size boat and has come in handy when big motor let us down that day. Point being there is such a thing as overkill.

Good luck.
