I just settled with Progressive Insurance for the full amount my boat was insured for! The proces was quick (less than 30 days for a claim over well over $30K),easy and handled very professionally! I have nothing but praise for Progressive!

BUT and this is a HUGE BUT!!!!! If I had not gone thru Bob Luellen and World Marine Underwriters I would not have been so lucky! In fact if I had not read a similar thread like the one I am writing, I would have gotten at least $12 to $15K less. Bob saved me #200.00 a month on my premium and got me a lot better coverage!!!
Please folks I get absolutely nothing for writing this! Call Bob Luellen at 800-339-1235 or his cell 517-256-0739!! Even if you don't use the insurance he recommends , he will give you the education you need to ask for the right coverage for your needs on your boat!!

The diffence in coverage is NEW replacement value or appraised value. The policy is cheaper for appraised value, which is what the boat is worth on the market today. When you buy NEW replacement, you get what you paid for the boat.

Tough decision when trying to save money on insurance. But the real question is--How many boats are totalled?
