Man I hope that's a bogus report.
She has saved my bacon on so many occasions.
If true I need to go throw up.

Well I hope it was her idea not some more of big corporation thinking we don't need people who have been here a long time. As most of you know I have been a staunch supporter of Lowrance. Well I am amazed at all of the words on these forum is to call Linda Colt if you can't get any help from the regular customer service. It seems the common gripe about Lowarnce is their customer service sucks unless you go through Linda Colt. So it sounds like Hummingbird may have made a big advance in overtaking them since the best part of their customer left. Johnny

Well read the link above. Seems like it is Linda's son that is telling what went on. Big corporations do that type of stuff to quality people. Linda made a lot of friends in her 21 years with Lowrance. I was totally impressed with her when she assisted me. She made a difference...big difference. When a big corporation doesn't take care of its own....its a sad, sad day.
Linda Colt was in my opinion largely responsible for Lowrance Electronis success. I hope they treat her better in her retirement than they did the last year!

It never fails to amaze me that big companies are so lax on customer service. I just bought 2 Humminbirds, a SI for console, and a Quadrabeam for bow, and all because of their man, Greg Walters. No telling how many times I emailed him in last few months, with some straight questions, and some that were kinda off the wall, being I'm a big tinkerer. He promptly answered all my questions.
I figured if he would give that kind of customer service to a non Humminbird owner, He would be even better to an owner, so I went the bird route.

HB should pick her up. Navico/Lowrance will regret their actions.

Johnson Outdoors/Humminbird needs to hire this woman at whatever cost. Shame on Low-Class Lowrance.

I guess all the stuff about the company going in the dumper since being bought out by Navico maybe true. Looks like with management like that hummingbird will do well. I am sorry for my allegiance for all these years. Johnny

This is great.I just talked to Linda last week and was in the process getting a unit swaped out that will not work and out of production. I will keep ya'll posted how it turns out. I know how it would have turned out if she was still there! I hope they don't jack me around. Linda was professional, precise and prompt, customer service at the finest. The bottom line will suffer. You don't just replace somebody like her.

That blows Linda has helped me out a number of times. I now wish I kad waited on my new HD unit. Nothing turns me off more than bad customer service. I will go out of my way and spend more money if I am treated right. Navico better get their stuff staight if they want more of my money.

In all seriousness, this really is terrible for her. I mean she gave 21 years of good service to people in need. I have never heard one word but praise for her. I too would like Humminbird to take her. She would fit right in there.

email to Navico sent.
They should beg her to come back and triple her salary. She has done more to sell Lowrance products over the years just by her work ethic than all of the elite series pros put together. If they don't, their sale figures over the next few quarters will be an unpleasant surprise. JMHO.

Linda is a class act. Navico does not know what they have started. I have dealt with Linda several times when I had problems with my units. She was always prompt and took care of everything. I have purchased only Lowrance for the past 12 yrs. One of the reason I was loyal was because I knew in the back of my mind that if I had a issue Linda was an email/phone call away.
JC - let your mom know that when Navico comes back begging, she needs to request double pay and 1/2 the hours. She also might request that (her old boss) the Jack ARSE who pushed her out wash her car twice a week.
Navico - if your reading this always remember - "the price of training is VERY expensive." If you do not understand that statement - sit back and watch your books.
NOT HAPPY,
Rodney

To be very blunt the current lack of customer service outside of Linda at lowrance is what prompted me to spend my money with HB. I am not gonna drop a couple of grand on products that have little to no real CS support. And that is exactly what I put in an e-mail to Navico this morning. I'm planning on upgrading to SI this year and was on the fence between Lowrance & HB.....looks like HB is getting a new customer.

Its pretty pitiful that a multi million giant like Lowrance has to rely on one lady and an occasional prostaffer to keep their good name. Goes to show you what thinking you are "king of the hill" will get you.
