Not a great feeling waiting for them to call your boat number on a day like last Thursday at Falcon.

AMEN! I have been saying this for years. The TD must be held accountable for sending 300 people into harms way. They must know that unless they call it, the fishermen WILL go out. They must step up to the plate and make a decision that will ensure that all 300 people will safely make it back to their homes and family.

FLW got really lucky on this one. Really lucky! One trolling motor to the head of a Co-Angler would have made them public enemy number one.

I was setting on my deck waiting for these guys to take off. It was a eary situation. I think the TD may have wanted to call it, but once all them boats were on the water he just let it go.
I was in the deer stand almost all day after they launched and it was freezing and the wind was howling and I was laughing at all the poor soles that were fishing. Im glad no one got hurt. But this one has to be a wake up call for FLW. Everyone involved had a tough day.
Im just so glad I did not have so much money involved. And I got to go to the deer stand verse loosing all my cash because a TD did not back down.

Has FLW ever canceled a day during a tournament? I saw BASS cancel a day on Richland Chambers years ago.

They canceled the first day of the TTT on Amistad a few years back. It was a two day event that year. We sat on the water till about 10:30 before they called it. That was the day Ron (TD) had the heart attack on the water. That day was really a mess.

People are still talking about it years later.

Yep, then we fished the next day in similar conditions, which were very uncomfortable but not dangerous. Go figure...

No doubt. I launched the first morning at the Air Force Campground. It wasn't that bad coming or going. Your right the next day was just as bad if not worse. I would catch a fish and the wind would blow me 100 yards before I got back to the TM.

I think the wind just follows me wherever I go! LOL! I've actually just gotten to expect it come tournament day. I prefished all but a half day up north on Falcon...just because I knew the wind would follow me on tournament day.

by the time the waves reached the state park it looked like the ocean didn't it?
