Ren,

I saw that on my way home from the GTG and was wondering the same thing ... did you ever hear anything about what was going on?

Unfortunately no haven't heard anything. Might have been some kinda criminal activity. I didn't see any EMT trucks or fire/ambulance trucks which would indicate someone being injured. But still would like to know what happened though.

I think the police were using the bike park on Saturday as a staging area to work the race traffic. Texas motor speedway was
hosting the NASCAR race that night. They were already there at
2 p.m. when I drove past.

I was out there Saturday night about 6pm and they were gone. Did finally see that the wardens got their boat running again yesterday about 3pm but they didnt even stop to check me... Kinda concerned by that cause they could have boated by a bunch of
People illegally fishing, or keeping illegal catches, etc. and I would like them to weed the s-heads outta there...

I suppose checking levels IS part of their job... But I don't know.. I was white-trashin it up shirtless, screaming obscenities at my cast net for pullin up tree-bass instead of shad. Lol I'm just glad they got the boat fixed so they can at least have a presence back in the creek.

I'm new to the website and found this post. Are people still posting here for their denton creek outings and reports? I don't see any 2013 posts for this years spawn season.

I wanted to check it out so about a month ago I parked out at the MTB lot and hiked down to the bridge, tried to walk around to the south but it was just too steep and going west the past the bridge had too much brush. I might go back and bring a machete and clear out a path west. But it looked pretty nasty, lots of litter, pretty sad.

Past spawn was not good due to low water.

Yeah I guess that makes sense without much rain past couple years. I had to check it out though, I went out there this morning where the dam used to be and caught 4 keepers all whites. I also caught a couple of LMB and somehow hooked a baby cat on the side of his head. I'm probably going to put my kayak in at trophy club and come down that way to check out the rest of the creek. I'd like to go up past 377 but I think the water levels right now are too low for my huge kayak.

Bin, I went on Friday morning. It rained Thursday, it must have pushed some white bass up. I caught white bass on Friday. I went back Sunday, and no white bass to be had, I caught a butt load of crappie, 9 of them keepers. The water was pretty cold, not sure what the temp was but that's the main reason I fish to catch crappie and I'm glad I found them.
