MV is right, deep cycle group 27 and 29 (you can see the group number on the battery case...And buyer beware...if it's not in writing it's not a warranty.

I was at Wal mart in Del Rio yesterday and they printed out the warranty info for me. Deep cycle are 12 months free replacement, and 24 months pro rated.I told the lady that rumer was, there is no warranty on deep cycle batteries. She said if thats true we havent been told. So who knows

wally world has to honor the warranty on the batteries they sold already. with a reciept or not.you don't have to have a reciept. what they have to do is use the manufacture date. Wally needs to get their problem fixed. if not there will be alot of claims againt them. I bought mine 7-24-09 on the receipt it states. receipt is nescessary to validate date of purchase for warranty adjustments.adjust with out receipt will be made using the manufacture date of battery. what going to happen is they will have to raise the price on the battery to offset there loses.

Last time I checked academy warranty is just one year.

Bought (3) Maxx deep cycles today and after picking them up called the local W Mart in White Settlement..... Manager stated all new deep cycle batteries have no warranty, therefore I took them right back, as I am not buying any battery without a warranty. Just FYI.

thanks for the info. i will not be buying 3 batteries either, since this new policy. if they cant warranty thier product, then they can stick it!

Stopped at Costco today, their marine batteries are warranteed for 12 months free replacement.

After the Wal Mart Fiasco, I ended up purchasing Interstate 29 Series Batts @ Sams Club. 12 Month Free Replacement and 30 months pro rata.
