Ive fished tom bass a couple of times and its usually pretty rough (usually only catch about one small bass a trip). I read that there are some big bass in the deeper water of the large pond. I dont know much about the park or the ponds so any information is greatly appreciated. If anyone has any tips or lures that work good for the park that would be great.
Thanks

I have not been there in 10 yrs at least and we used to use minnows. There was an older lady I worked with at the time that liked to eat them and the minnows worked well and I fished with her some. Lots of undersize, with some with a worm
and hook stuck in their throat. We used to fish the trout stocking there a lot, with a popping cork with a mepps under about a 20 in leader for distance and on that rig I caught a 5lb bass once that surprised us all. Never caught a bass on any lure consistenly though.

Ive gone there the past couple of weeks and usually catch at least 1 or 3 decent size bass, took my brother one morning and we both caught 3 good size bass, and he's never fishes. I almost had about a 5lb bass but it jumped near the dock and got off. Ive been cathing them on stick baits on watermelon/ red flake or other types of greens, and also using finesse ro trick worms in red-bug or pomegrante with a 1/8 weight. Fish around and on the dock, on the point by the down tree and further pass that in the weeds and brush. thats the only ways and locations that I have tried and caught fish at. I plan on going back thursday if open or friday.

fish the worms t-rig slow to med retrieve, and fish parallel the dock on all sides, ive caught most of them under the dock and along the walk way. when fishing the stickbait i let teh bait fall a little ways down and then twich it some.

I know Tom Bass III has at least four types of fish:

Catfish
Rainbow Trout
Large Mouth Bass
Sunfish

It's a big pond. Could someone please identify on the map which area is the "hot zone" for LMB and catfish?

Thanks in advance.

fish on and around the dock, on the point left of the dock. near that point is a down tree on oneside and brush on the other. another spot is on the otherside near the parking lot in that corner of the deep water. those are the only spots that i have caught fish at

Thanks. That really helps. Are you referring to the red-circled areas?

those are the right areas, fish all around the dock and off it, and also fish down from the point. there are alot of shallow spots that you can see from the map, that are not worth fishing to much. i plan on going there tomorrow sometime with the nice weather that we have.
