Just got a link to this Cabela's sale on Gore-tex raingear from another site. I bought $475 worth of Guide-wear parka and bibs for $140 total with free shipping. Check it out. I bought a pair last year when they were on sale. The guide wear series rocks, it is the best pair I have ever owned.

I just got a pair of uninsulated GoreTex Guidewear at Cabellas and tried them out yesterday(Friday) in the POURING rain at Monticello. Great rainsuit! The point is I got them at the store but they honored the online sale price. Have the sale price with you to check when you go. Price range is huge due to insulated vrs uninsulated and larger sizes are higher. I like to touch before I buy especially with clothes. You want to make sure fits.

Yep. Both products feel the same. Wore mine Friday....windy and raining for 1/2 the day. I wouldnt buy the insulated suits as you will have a one season suit. Buy a little big and layer some clothes underneath.

picked some up as well they are great. no need for the insulated version just layer up. No wind gets in and more importanly no water.

dude. I'm glad I saw this... I was about to buy the BPS Pro Qualifier gore-tex suit tomorrow at the Katy store... just ordered the suit from Cabelas! Thanks for the info guys!

Cabelas labels theirs Guidewear, BPS labels theirs either 100MPH or Pro Qualifier. Fact of the matter is, its both made from GORETEX and GORETEX is GORETEX dont matter whose name is on it. Now they do make variations of the GoreTex, which is why there is a real cheap set at BPS (like 150 for the whole setup).
When you find a sale like this, JUMP on it. Guidewear/100MPH/Pro Qualifier are essentially all the same.

When you find a sale like this, JUMP on it. Guidewear/100MPH/Pro Qualifier are essentially all the same. I hear that. I just could not throw the 5+ bills for both pieces. The wife bought me the bibs for B-Day a while back. I got the Guide Wear Parka for 129.00 and it rocks. They don't match but I never was about that anyway......

I've fished in the poring down rain a month ago and never got wet at all in my Guidewear. Bought last year about this time and got a sweet deal. Cabela's rocks
