Today was a learning day. Stretch and I caught about 10 fish and kept the biggest 5 for my Sunday lunch. We might have caught more but sleeping beauty was late. We had a little help from a guy that drives a yaller jeep in finding places to fish. We saw Mark Priddy just hoarding up one hole. The first fish I caught was a 12". The second was a 14" caught again on my go to color and this time it was a Jigum Jig. I have never failed to catch fish on it. Had a really good time fishing with Stretch. He said the update Humminbird did made a huge difference on the GPS. He will probably stay with what he has though and that's all good.

Well, that spot you're fishing isn't too bad, but if you'd just gone a little more to your ********, then it would have been a lot better. Too bad you didn't really 'get into em' cause fishing has been nothing short of great. Looks like you had great conditions.

The day was awesome Guy. I still have a lot to learn and we both had to make a short day of it due to other commitments. Now which way was that?

Weather was awesome, company was ok, fishing was slow but beat a day at work.

And I will admit the GPS on the humminbird did seem to be a lot faster then when I had my 798.

Of course he kept blocking me from the brush hoarding it for himself but I fished over the top of him a few times and caught a couple of smaller ones.

Those st. croix rods seem to work ok, but my $20 wally world special will have to do for awhile that is if I didnt grab a st. croix from his boat as he was pulling out of the parking lot!!!

Me and my youngest son cought a few. Thay were there we just couldnt gitem to turn on. It was a great day to be on the water. Bob I would have called you over but we had just got there with our game on with no manners present. At least we cought some of what we went after.

Thats funny Mark. Catch and release. Betting the PETA boys and girls would be proud of you. Probably not many of the crappie guys would though.

I just keep fish a couple of times a year. Its usally when I know Im going to catch a big haul. Other wise it doesnt bother me a bit to throw them little puppys back.

At least you fess up. I will be fishing by myself tomorrow it looks like so I won't hear no griping about being back boated. Thank goodness.

Yep, I just got through organizing all my waypoints on LL and made a route from each spot to the next so gonna see how that works out for me. 16.7 miles from leaving the ramp and hitting all my spots and then returning to the ramp.

I'll be by myself as well. Gonna be nice not having to hear about how great humminbird is all day!!!

If you find em tomorrow call me and I'll do the same. I'll be hitting all your normal stops so I'm sure we will run into each other at some point.

Maybe I'll see ya'll out there. Trying to talk myself out of going , but the urge might be to strong. We'll see though. Good luck guys.

Nice job guys. I couldn't make up my mind whether to go to GV, CC, or Lavon. Since I was solo trolling Lavon didn't make the short list. Ended up at CC looking for new water, caught 7 good 'uns with only a couple of throwbacks. Ended up lettin' 'em all go since I've got a bunch in the freezer already.

We all need to load up and do a trip one of these days. Just a fun trip, no competition, just fish & BS.
