great reels, I picked up 3 when the sale went on. They are, in my opinion, the best reel for the money, and thats at normal price ($50).

on sale for $25 is a steal.

Not top of the line but buy the Mettle for $25 and pair it with a $25 Allstar rod. Great combo for the beginner or seasoned angler. $50 bucks for both!

Bought this combo last week and fished it last weekend. Seems to be a good buy! Cast and reels smooth and no backlashes. Time will tell.

Will never buy these reels again (the black ones)piece of junk, handles fall off and no way worth the money, would not pay 5 dollars for ten reels,to many great reels on sale right now and this is not one to buy,I bought two last year this time an handles fell off into lake why casting barely even used them, just threw them both away waste of money.SHIMANO or REVO is the way to go, why even buy a cheap reel,I sure won't again.

No, that sale at Academy on the H2O Mettle for $24.99 ended Saturday the 21st. Sunday they were back up to $49.99.

But Academy has the rod riot going on right now till this Saturday so maybe you can pick up a deal on a rod.

So the rod riot ended today? Oh okay.

You can get the Shimano Cruxis on sale at Academy right now. $39.99 on sale from regular $99.99. So that is a pretty good value. That sale lasts till Dec. 5th. If your Academy has them, cause once they sell out they don't get any more in I believe so it is a matter of finding them.
