The lakes are up nicely now, still can't use the boat ramp at Clear lake but no exposed dirt and the vegitation is in the water now. Looks just right for a field trip.

I ran out there this afternoon. Here's a couple shots of Clear Lake. Water pretty stained.

I was out at Clear Lake yesterday. What's the deal with the people in the trailer? Look's like they have been living there for a while. Trash all over the place.

I know they weren't out there two weeks ago cuz I was fishing there and picked up a lot of trash. I think two weeks is the max you can stay out there. I hope they pick up after themselves when they leave. I'll keep my eye on it. I was hoping to get out there this weekend anyway.

Went up to Clear Lake yesterday. Camper was still there but it looked tidy. Rangers maybe gave em a talkin' to. Haven't seen anybody around there but if I do I'll get the untold story.....

after your post the otherday I went by the Ranger station at lunch and asked about the people at clear lake. Rangers had no idea that they had such a mess going on but would check it out. I guess they did ....good work

Clear Lake about full. Water really stained still. Fished out there Saturday. Caught a few. Camper gone. All is right with the world.

I was throwing a spinnerbait, a dark magic shad and a baby brush hawg. It was tough fishin' but a pretty day to be out. I'll swing by today and check out water clarity.

Is the bassin good at cottonwood? I fished it once and saw a million bluegills but no bass. Little cottonwood lake is a mud pit and it has a few channel cats in it. They like GULP turtle back worms.
As for clearlake, spinnerbaits and chatterbaits along the damn shoreline will get you a couple bites.

I fished Cottonwood last fall and caught a few. It's further for me to go and I admit I just hang at Clear Lake because I know it and love it. It's a rut I don't mind being stuck in.

Headed out there today as soon as I get kids to their uncle at lunchtime. I can't wait!!! Went last Sunday afternoon. Water still really stained. I'm hoping it's cleared up by now. A friend of mine loaned me one of those fishfinder things that has the transducer that you tie on to your line and cast. I can't wait to get a better idea of the structure and depth out there. It's better than Christmas. I was gonna say it was better than...then I remembered I wasn't in the OT...  Hope y'all have a great day!!!!
