anything that needs a hookset and very light resistance moving lures such as rat-l-traps.

that's about it though...

buzz baits, swimbaits, maybe a Rtrap. I use 6:1 for frogs, worms and jigs. I use 5:1 for cranks up to med, 4.7:1 for big cranks and big spinner baits. For whatever reason I do not like to crank a lure against a lot of lure pressure. I try to match the reel to the bait............also give me a good reason to have lots of reels, but I have failed to properly educate my better half on real Ratios and the need to have so many.

I use 7.0:1 reels for everything, even DD22's. Just takes a lot of getting used to.

What is the right reel for rattle traps? I have used several different speeds and still can not decide. When I use a high speed reel at times I just slow the retrieve down. I do like burning them also.
