so the canal crawler I posted worked but as I start playing with new materials I keep thinking hey this might catch the fish's eye and this would really improve the look of it.... I am still in my infant stages of tying flys like really messing with it for 3 weeks....but I do know a little something about carp so here is the carp crawler or carp craw I think I am going to tie some up with a little more flash and may be one with some buck tail in it...I will be putting these to the test as soon as the rain stops...I did toss one in Oklahoma but not at fish it looks great in the water...it might make a killer small mouth fly?? here is the latest...

Does it try to bite you when you go to grab it out of the box? That's a killer looking fly. Let us know how it goes.

The LHD stamp of approval. What more can you ask for in a carp fly?

The LHD stamp of approval. What more can you ask for in a carp fly? how about actually catching a carp on it?

well I went out with Zach today to hit up the canals. His canal crawler versus my Arnj Crush. I had 2 eats, one about 15+ pounds and the other a 10# but couldn't seal the deal we both blanked on carp but I am def going back out there when the water clears up a bit

It'd catch some salty critters as well. Looks good.

Cool! How does one get a fly patttern picked up commercially? No, I have nothing to offer, just curious how you do it.

I am presently working feverishly 25 hours a day on development of the "buffalo buster" and the "koi killer" for I too would like to be a famous roughfish fly designer and have a fan club & make gazillions of dollars & most importantly I would be able to hire a guy to unhook my carps & buffalos & such so I wouldnt have to touch the nasty things .

There is, of course, another solution to the problem of having to get buffalo and carp off of your line: don't catch them in the first place.
