FYI big lots has some "coffee flavors" that are sugar free caramel, hazelnut and vanilla they are a syrup base and really cheap like $4 for a liter and the fish don't seem to mind that they are not a carp flavor....

I think its fair to say that any flavor COULD work
Its just that how strong is the flavor..and what are you using it for
Food flavors that are sirop base are not very strong but great for dough baits
And more concentrated ones like cake flavors are good for boilies because you have to cook it
So your boiling lots of the flavor out

In the super market you can get flavors for making cakes like almond and vanilla they are highly concentrated
And thats is mainly because you have to heat up cake to
Thats why they are perfect for making boilies
And its almost the same kinda flavor you are buying from the bait companies..its just a lot cheaper

There are lots of paylakers that use sno-cone flavors, but most of them use Superior flavors or One On or R&W.

Leo, good point with the cake flavors. Superior sells as cake flavors as well. FYI.
