..Ok its raining so I have some time to work on my posting skills, posting pics are a pain. I've been hunting more than fishing lately, Fishing has been good though swim baits like the 4" sassy and smack baits are working, the fish are all over the place wright now, out in open water, also hanging on are near humps and ridges, they may be on the bottom are near the surface, if this sounds like a lot of water to cover, thats because it is!! Watch for the birds to help you locate the fish, but when you see the birds working don't run up to them like your going to a fire!!!! When the birds are working the fish have the bait fish penned up against the surface just as if they are up against a wall, if you go flying in to fast are to close it spooks both bait fish and the fish, results are fish go down and you are now looking for fish again, so take your time approach them slow like you were stalking wild animals, I promise you will catch more fish. The fiesta slabs have been doing a good job on those fish on are close to the bottom also, but my favorite thing when the fish are on are near the bottom is to slow roll swim baits wright on the bottom, and some times I mean slow 3 or 4 turns of the reel very slow stop let the bait fall back to bottom then 3 or 4 turns again all the way back to the boat. Water still going over spillway a little before the rain we got today it will probably come up a little from this rain. Here are pics from resent trips, well I hope to get them up.
