One of my "break glass" lures/methods that i go to when the wind is howling out of the north and there isn't a cloud in the sky is fish a slider grub on a slider spider jighead. When all else fails, I fish this rig on primary and secondary points, any incoming creeks, ditches or tribs and the very back of coves. The slider worm gets a lot of love, but the slider grub is a very effective tool in its own right. Very versitile and very effective. Am I the only one who's still using these grubs?!?

Slider grubs are a new but somewhat successful tool I use when times get tough....I just bought my first few packs about 6 months ago but love the bluegill color....I have had moderate success with these but probably arent using them at the right times or places...lol

Appreciate the feed back fellas. Guess I am the only one. Well, it works for me! The less conditioned fish get to it, the better!!

This is the rig I'm talking about. I swim it, drag it, crawl it, hop it and deadstick it. Like I said, very versitile rig. There are easier and more effective ways to catch fish when they are actively feeding, but in tough conditions on a tough bite, this rig has come through for me time and again!!

Nope--I use it--probably not as musch as I should.

My son accuses me of useing a fairy wand ,as I use the slider rod in this case too--oh well ,I've filled out a limit with this little rig---and I can take the ribbing LOL
