It was just under 8 lbs. It came out of 38' of water. The fishing was really good this weekend. All of my fish came out of 35' and deeper. Sorry about the poor picture quality, all I had was my cell phone.

Congrats!

I've always wondered what it might feel like to pull a big bass like that out of 38' of water. smile

Thanks all! It is a lot of fun bringing up a big fish from deep water. I caught a 10-6 off of the exact same spot last Dec. http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/2898155/Re_Amistad_Bass#Post2898155

I brought it up slow but it still did have some air. I took a quick pic and weighed it and then back in the water it went. It went straight back down. I stayed there and fished for over an hour and it never came back up. I did have a needle and would have fizzed if it would have resurfaced.

10" motoroil red flake works well all year long....seems that it is all I ever fish with on Amistad. Like JC said in one of yalls video, if I had to choose one bait to fish with on Amistad it would be a large t-rig.
