Lake X:
Man Made Reservoir, typically with more stained water, however clearer water where the vegetation is present. (Like Ray Hubbard for Instance)

MY question is this..
If you always catch em on say, watermelon reds.. do you alter the color of your plastics due to Seasons? When they are feeding on shad, are you going to switch to a shad colored plastic, or just keep on throwing the wat/red that has been so sucessful.

Throw both and see what works better, match the hatch.

For more stained water I like to change it up due to the season. For instance in stained water in the spring I will throw watermelon red, but in the summer I will throw a green pumpkin or something that matches the water a little better so that the presentation is more subtle to the bass. In clear water I hardly change anything due to season, say in the spring I throw watermelon red, but as it fades to summer and the bite slows down I will maybe change to mardigras. I'll usually just change the color of the fleck.

Bout the only changes I make due to the seasons is more red in the spring, and more white in the fall. Other than that, you can feel pretty safe betting on watermelon/red any time of the year

I throw wat/red pretty much everywhere, every season. just "fishin" for any other opinions out there, to see if I should broaden my horizons.
