does it matter what side the back light is on on a 14 ft flatbottom?

as long as its visible from 360 degrees you should be fine. My last ski rig had it in the middle on top of the rack

It must be one meter higher than the red/green lite and only has to be behind the red/green lite. Also visible as stated 360 degrees and seen for one mile.
