Greetings and Happy Hollidays to everyone from River Run Guide Service.

I have some good news for all you die hard kayak river bassers out there.

The Fall/Winter largemouth bite has been ramping up all month and is getting better by the day on certain public and private access stretches of the Middle/Upper Brazos.

Few things will get the heart pumping like an oversize river bass freaking out and rampaging about on the end of your line as you are pulled around the run in your kayak.

These fish never have to travel far for a meal, so when they feel the sting of a hook, they absolutely explode and give the kayak angler an eye popping display of unleashed reserved energy!

Here are a few photos of CPR'd bass to give River Run Guide Service bassing clients an idea of what to expect from the Brazos this Fall/Winter season.

This is a repost of a 25" trophy Black Bass from a thread last week. Certainly worthy of another post. Don't you think?

When this fish made a move on my jig, there was little question she was in control in those critical first moments of our encounter. I remember, after getting her to the kayak, that I actually felt fortunate to have landed her on 12 pound spinning gear.

This fish really blew of some steam!!!

We have also been CPRing some healthy Spotted Bass like this one that was just slightly longer than the existing Brazos River Water Body Record for this specie.

Even the Smallmouth are starting to show up with a little more frequency.

The solitude and rugged beauty of the Brazos is spectacular this time of year.

Be sure and stay tuned. More Brazos River kayak fishing reports and pics are in the works and heading your way...

Tight lines, everyone! thumb
