Like most of you on this forum I too have fished with just about every rod out there. I thought a year or so ago My new Falcon Cara was as good as you could get for the money. Boy was I WRONG. I met Gary Dobyn's at the BASS Classic in Shreveport and after listening to his story and feeling the Dobyn's line of rods, I new I would have to try them. I did. Words can't describe his rods. I have joint issues from hard work in the construction industry as well as two major reconstruction surgeries on My right elbow. I would have lots of pain after long tournament days on the water while using other rods that were not balanced like Dobyn's rods are. They are very light and sensitive as well as very well constructed and thought out. Try one for yourself. You will be glad you did. www.Dobynsrods.com

I build rods so I prefer to make my own custom rods.

My cousin like me loves Loomis rods. He was pretty much set on his Loomis GLX rods and that's all he used. Until he tried the Daiwa Steez rods. And he was convinced.

I tried one and man is it a super nice rod. Can't beat the Daiwa Steez rod. It's so light, powerful, sensitive and strong. Even better than the Loomis GLX.

Probably the best rod you can buy right now hands down. But they are pricey though. But if you get a chance check out the Steez rods. And you will not want to use another rod.

And paired with the Steez reel. Ahh man, it is a sweet combo.

I researched warranty before I started dippin into the pocket. From what I gathered St Croix had great quality and a better warranty than GLoomis.

Personally I was sold on their "upgrade" policy. Your never stuck with a rod, you just uprade.....
