I agree wit ya, but it aint no playground (despite what 178 Mex cans thought when I was there) be careful is all I am saying, I would love to fish up there out of a kayak, canoe or small boat, but I wouldnt put a motor on it (unless you have a spare lower unit)

Kinda need to know the water for a motor boat. Going down river very far is a no no without a jet drive (generation only) or a air boat. Yaks work great. Long very hard paddle back if the are generating. Be careful of steel and rebar below the 75 bridge.

Launching a big boat on OK side is pretty much 4WD terriory. Easier to launch and load during generation. Stay close to the big cottonwood tree during generation. You have to go futher east during non-generation, fairly shallow. Sunken logs east of Brokeback Point about 200 to 300 yds downstream. Becareful of old pilings by Brokeback Point. Channel is cut next to TX side. Best to survey area when the water is down.

I whimped !

- the weather was nice enough
- I have an awesome new Kamloops Float tube, well outfitted
- the generating's been at full blast
- no buddies were available
- it was the Sunday AM 1st flush that ruined every thing,
the thought of me getting sucked into a stage 2 whirlpool, all alone, water's cold, a life time of bad karma's long overdue....
