I'm moving right next to Clear Lake and am curious to see if anybody fishes at Clear Lake and if so how they do. Seems like the best place to fish (based on Google maps) would be Clear Lake Park. Any help would be appreciated.

You mean Clear Lake between Seabrook and Kemah? Yes, Clear Lake can be an excellent fishing spot, especially in winter.

I knew a fishing guide that was explaining to me about Clear Lake being a nice spot with plenty of secret fishing holes for trout and it is sort of a place that is not heavily fished but a kept secret among people that know where to fish there, especially fishing guides. It is a great winter fishing spot.

Yeah I'm talking about Clear Lake as it comes back past Kemah and into the Clear Lake area. I am moving pretty much right next to the lake and was wondering if it was any good, especially after a long day at work.

With some shrimp, you'll catch hard heads, gaftop, reds and trout.

There are some specific areas to look at in the lake. I would recommend getting a Kayak and fishing Mud Lake (north of Nasa rd 1). Don't eat anything from the creek if you go up that far.

Around the park, during the winter, look for the deepest hole you can find.

Thanks Harv. I was actually kicking around the idea of getting a kayak to be perfectly honest with you. Glad you second that thought!

next to the hilton by the jetski rentals is a good spot also the clear lake piers. i sometimes go back in between the blue dolphin and seabrook shipyard anchor right by the little bridge in the seabrook shipyard its good there... if you go out the channel to the bay anchor next to the first marker on the left lots of reds and specs lately. you can wade fish in the marshy area between todville and 146
