Did you guys hear about Andy House crashing his Bugatti Veyron in Omega Bay on I-45 before you get to Tiki Island and cross the Causeway to get to Galveston?

Yeah, he's only 34 years old. He had just gotten the car. Apparently he was out there looking for real estate to buy or something and taking his car for a drive. Then I heard he was trying to avoid a pelican or birds and he dropped his cell phone and got distracted and veered off the road by accident. I don't know, it's a strange story. Either way he crashed his $1.6 million car. Sucks.

I remember a Ferrari Enzo for sale on eBay about 2 months ago from a guy in Lufkin, TX I think. I can't remember if he sold it or how much it went for, I think it was around $1 million or $1.2 million for that Ferrari Enzo. Wonder if this is the same guy since this guy also has a Ferrari Enzo and that is also a $1 million or more car.

Yeah, I don't know how many are made but I know they are made in very limited quantities and there is a waiting list for the Bugatti Veyron. I think only 200 are made per year but I could be wrong.

I wonder if it is even repairable? With all of the saltwater that got inside it.

Would be cool to take that car out on a fishing trip. Just take a cruise down to Seawolf Park to go do a little fishing. I imagine you could fit an ice chest and tackle box in the front seat and just put the rod in and roll down the window. Now that's what I call going fishing in style !! And you can get to your fishing spots fast too !! At 200-250 mph !!

haha, i bet you the flounder will jump right in that car if u go fishing with it, didnt even need to bring rod and reel, lmao!!!! i ask my aunt who works at state farm, she said for exotic car like that they wont even bother to fix it especially with saltwater in it. by the time they get the car to the buggatti dealership the car is gonna get rusted really bad and all the electric wiring gonna need to be replace, so its like building a new car...might as well not fix it.

Yeah, my best friend's cousin is like that. He's young like 25 or 27 somewhere around that age, and he has way too much money and not a bit of sense at all sometimes by the stuff he does. He too keeps crashing expensive cars he buys and has the attitude like oh well I'll just buy another one. Not in the calibur of a Bugatti Veyron but he has crashed his Porsche and his Ferrari. I don't know how or why but he did. But he just goes out and buys another one since the money is nothing to him.

Basically he got an inheritance from his uncle. His parents didn't raise him. It was a situation where his mom or dad had some kind of mental instability and the other couldn't take care of him so his uncle took him in and raised him as his own son when he was little. His uncle died not too long ago from old age since he was an older man and he was very rich from his real estate dealings and businesses he owned and left his entire estate to him. Something like $80 million plus businesses and hotels and stuff. A lot for a 20 something year old to handle. I mean what do you do with $80 million at 20 something years old?

So what he does is basically just parties all the time at clubs and has a bunch of girls around him all the time and blows money on expensive booze and he buys expensive cars and ends up crashing them eventually. His whole life is just party, girls, and spending money on cars and toys he buys and blowing his money in clubs buying expensive booze since he is VIP in every club he goes to. And then he ended up getting a girl pregnant that he doesn't even like. It's a mess for him.

Like I said he has so much money and no sense sometimes my best friend was saying.

And his life is just a mess and he has so many problems in his life and suffers from depression and addictions. But he has more money than he knows what to do with. It's sad but you would think with all that money he could be happy but he's not.

I guess the saying is true. Money can't buy happiness.

Thanks, yeah I suppose the money can buy lots of nice things but it can't buy happiness.

Like my best friend's cousin above. My friend says he talks to him on the phone and he has nothing but problems in his life, despite having all that money at his disposal. Lots of women problems and just a lot of issues in his life. Hopefully things get better for him.

But I guess happiness is what you make out of life in order to enjoy it the best you can with what you have. I have a group of friends that we used to hang out and get together and have food and drinks but we haven't been out lately due to having our meeting place shut down and out of business since lots of restaurants are struggling these days. Anyways, one of them was talking about a buddy of theirs who quit his job. Apparently he was some kind of big shot at his company like the president or CEO or some title he had where he was doing well. Then he quit and they replaced him. They said he just got tired of it and didn't want to do it anymore. So they were telling me he ended up buying a nice tour bus and he sold his house, sold his cars. And he lives out of his bus along the coast and he sells newspapers and magazines or something. He gets up early and sets up his stand and sells till about 1 in the afternoon along places on the beach where everybody likes to get their newspaper or magazine to read and enjoy their day. Apparently he does very well doing this.

Then after he is done selling he closes his stand because by afternoon everybody has bought their newspaper or magazine to read for the day. He eats lunch and then goes fishing all day. He practically goes fishing every single day all day. And he says he is happy and the happiest he has ever been in his life from what one of the guys was saying. I guess even happier when he was a big shot at his company making the money and buying whatever he wanted.

So to him fishing every day and just having a simpler life makes him happy.

But in the case of my friend's cousin, it is best to do something good with part of a sum of money like that. Not all of it but just part of it. Something to give back to a community. Maybe build or help restore some piers in Galveston to give kids and families places to go fishing. Or start a foundation to help underprivileged kids in some way or schools.

Like my friend once told me. "People never remember you by how much money you had and how many cars or jets or mansions you owned. They remember you for the good things you did with that wealth."

Anyways, that guy that crashed this Bugatti Veyron near Galveston is a strange story. They were saying he was trying to avoid hitting some pelicans but then they said there were no pelicans. And that the place where he crashed his car is an exit to make a turnaround. And he said he was coming from Galveston to look at real estate but if he was taking that exit he would have been going the wrong way. And then it was a cell phone that caused him to lose control of the car. Just seems weird but I guess weird accidents happen.

Just seems odd to be so careless when driving a $1.6 million car. If I was driving it I would make sure both hands are on the wheel and I was paying full attention to the road ahead of me. But what a waste of a nice car. He should have bought another Ferrari instead. Nicer looking exotic car and cheaper too and better sounding and plenty fast.

That guy should have gotten one of these !!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UO4cw565V98

For $200,000 he could have gotten that and saved a whole $1.4 million and still have a car if it hits the water !!
