The Bass Pro Shop Tournament Series will host their annual "Fall Open" at Lake Grapevine on Sunday December 13th. Come out and join us for some holiday cheer at our final tournament of the season! The tournament will launch from Katies Woods. Angler check-in and registration will open at 5:00am. Tournament will kick-off at safe light with the weigh-in at 2:00pm.

I was in the fire service for 5 1/2 years and saw first hand how a brotherhood pulls together in times of hardship. Its nice to see we have the same kind of support in the fishing community as well. Count me in on a great cause. See yall there.

We all know that times are tough, but nothing like Nathan and family is going through. I am praying that God will touch your hurting heart and give you a great amount of strength to get through this.

I put in a request to get that day off work, still waiting for approval but I hope to come and participate in support of his family.

The bite on Grapevine was pretty good last weekend, I read several reports of good numbers of fish being caught all weekend long!

I know its to early to tell for sure, but the preliminary forecast is calling for a high temp of 59 degrees for the 13th!

I see it is a slot lake. Is there a minimum length limit for the tournament? Also, is there a limit for number over or under the slot or just 5 fish either way?

Howard, there is no minimum length and you can bring in 5 largemouth over or under the slot in any combination. All spotted bass are fair game no slot and no minimum. Smallmouth dont conform to the slot either, they must be a minimum of 14". The actual slot only applies to largemouth, and Grapevine is one of the few slot lakes that does allow 5 over the slot fish to be retained.

Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. We will also have some hot dogs for sale at weigh in, proceeds to the Hayes family.
