While Costas are great glasses they are a bit small for guys with larger faces. I can't tell you how many I have tried on before I ended up going with Smith Action Optics. I couldnt be happier with my choice. If you are going to spend the money for nice shades I'd try them on first

I wear the Guideline Rogue's bought at Cabelas 30 or 40 bones. Have a large head and these fit perfectly. They are heavier, which I like, and comfy!

I like Native as well as Costa for fishing lenses but for true quality you can't beat the Oakley polarized glasses. I used to work for a shop in southern CA that sold all of these glasses and after trying all of them on the water I'll tell you that oakley is the best for quality and durability. The nice thing is they have an entire angling specific series too. I have ended up getting 4 different pairs of them in the last year or so. If you're gonna spend a lot of time on the water or really wanna be able to get the benefit of polarized glasses look at the oakleys.

I wish I could wear regular polarized sunglasses, cause that is a good deal alright. I have prescription glasses, and have to wear something like Cocoons. I have not found them so I can try them on yet. I have a pair that is similar, but they are a little heavy...and made for a man. They fit over your regular glasses. I hardly ever go fishing without sunglasses, it is just so much better to me. I hate squinting in the sun, and the glare is rough for me. I wish more companies would come up with some nice looking glasses for those who have to wear prescription glasses. I could buy a pair of prescription sunglasses, but that is too expensive. Plus when your prescription no longer works, you are out the money. So some type of wrap around is preferable to me.

Kelkay- Have you tried contacts with plano polarized sunglasses over? No, I would not be able to tolerate contacts in my eyes. If I get an eyelash in my eye it drives me crazy. My brother almost went blind from an eye infection from wearing contacts....so I try to stay clear. I considered it once a long time ago. But the eye doctor said it would be hard to correct with astigmatism, which is one of my eye problems.

Ok so contacts are out. What about a polarized clip on for current glasses?

You need to check this website out. http://www.framesdirect.com/prescription-sunglasses/They can fit many name brand sunglasses with rX lenses, including costas.

One of them is over 300 bucks. You still have to change them out over time. I don't want to go that route.

Ok so contacts are out. What about a polarized clip on for current glasses? That is possible...but it wouldn't afford much protection because my glasses are very narrow in the lens area. Wrap around sunglasses I think would be best. They need to make some that are as cool as some of the ones they have that aren't prescription though. I know the Cocoons have got a lot of good things said about them, and I will try them on if I ever see any.

Nike has some sunglasses with wrap. They aren't too expensive and you can put rX into most of them. Most offer lots of coverage.
Also check out Spokiz sunglasses.

Just lost a lens to my Native sunglasses on Sat... Fell out and into the river and was gone before I knew what happened.
Turns out the style I have (Tare) is discontinued and they don't have replacement lenses. Woulda been nice to come back to a sweet deal on some good glasses. Hope it comes back soon, good thread thanks for the heads up
