We went to Conroe Saturday and put in at Cagle. It makes me nauseous that the courtesy dock walkway is still submerged but money got spent on a new bulkhead at the Scott's Ridge swim area. Genius! Fished Texas rigged worms in several coves with only two strikes. I did catch a really channel cat on a junebug worm though! LOL! Throw in some spinner baits, some crankbaits, some topwater, some shallow water, some deepwater, some stumps, and some rocks. NADA. My Wife caught a bass that couldn't have been over 6 inches long and that's it! Wow!

We went to Fayette County today (Sunday) and started off with topwaters over vegetation. We had some good blow-ups but didn't land a thing. Had a good fish take my Rage Tail toad and hook with him. Moved all over throwing T-rigs with the same results. The high wind made it very difficult to do anything. Finished the day fishing T-rigged Zoom paddle tail worms at reed lines. I hooked a NICE fish right at the boat that jumped once then did a bee line right into my spinning trolling motor blade. Bye-bye fishy! I did manage to put one nice 4-pounder in the boat and left at about 2:00. My Wife never got a atrike after the topwater stuff in the morning. Dang!

Oh well, that's why they call it fishing!

Hey Razor, Ditto...put in at Cagle Saturday at 7AM, fished until 2PM with 2 fish on rattletrap that wouldn't total 1/2lb. That was my first time to fish Conroe in 15 years. Unless, I can get some help...maybe another 15 LOL. I did crack my trollin motor so that is going to cost 50.00 to replace. Should have fought the wind at Fayette...the fish love those windy points and shoreline! Then on my neighborhood pond, skunked...rare for me! Maybe I should take up golf.

We put in at 830 yesterday, fished the south bank of Little Lake starting about the powerlines and heading back up the creek.

We caught 7 there on cranks and traps around the docks then went back across the lake when it looked like the weather was about to kick up(never did).

We fished docks on the south side of that creek arm for a while before heading to fish around the 1097 bridge (small one close to the dock) just before dark. There we got into a school of white bass and largemouth mixed just out from the bridge on that ridge. I think we ended the day with 12-15 largemouth and a handlful of small white bass.

My wife had a blast when we got into the surfacing fish at the end of the day.

This was my first time to take my boat out this year (been in my kayak) so it was a good day for us.

Rayzor what boat were you in? I fished Fayette Sunday. It was slow early for me probaly 8 "keepers" and 1 slot fish by 10:30. It was a dink fest on a pond dam that produced most of my "keeper fish". It picked up around 11 and got better as the day went on. Caught arounnd 20-25 fish up to 6 lbs

We have a red sparkle/silver sparkle/white 1996 Stratos dual console wioth a 130 Evinrude. The cute little redhead in the back chair is Wife. Sunday was by far the worst day I have ever had on FCL. We should have fished soft plastics in the reeds much earlier. Oh well....

I know what you mean I was saying that round 10:30. I never got a bite in the reeds early and everyone was fishing them. Caught all my fish 8ft+. Most on 1/4 oz Shakey head with Watermelon seed, red bug, and watermelon red trick worms.

Did'nt realize you fished both lakes this weekend, guess I was reading too fast! By the way I feel your pain on conroe, I never caught a keeper. Our club tourney big stringer was 6 lbs!

Wow I had a big day on Conroe, one keeper out of 4! I am proud. This is the same thing I have heard from several people.

I won't be there this weekend, we are doing the turkey thing with my parents a week early, but I will be home all of the 4 day weekend, so there is a real good chance I will be on Conroe.

I'm glad I wasn't the Lone ranger out there Saturday. I was seriously beginning to believe I forgot how to catch fish. I was out there from daylight until about 2:00 pm and managed to catch one white bass by accident. What a day.

Well, maybe you should contact someone that lives at the lake to go with you?

Yes. E5Zero is a friend and we've been trying to make connections to fish for a year. Just giving him a hard time through the boards.
