makin a large batch of maize. and a small batch of spicy maize using new mexico red chili powder. startin the soak today fishin on thrusday is that to long...soak a couple of days boil 45 min. then back to soak till im at the lake

that sounds like a good amount of time. New Mexico Red chili is one of my faves on enchiladas wink

my wifes family is from new mexico and get red and green often score!! has anyone ever tried red chili in maize

If you can get it try the concentrated pimentos oil ( red pepper)
Its great and easy to use to..add some suger
I have been using LARGE amounts and they realy go for that stuff..carp has plenty water to wash it down with anyway ..lol

Leo, look at a map of the US. Look south and you have Mexico.
I think we can get any type of pepper that we could ever use!!! lizard
Except I should mention "Scotch Bonnets!" which I really need for a Jerk Chicken recipe. I used 15 Habernaro's last time, but its not the same.

TACO Bell Fire sauce is a great addition to a can of sweetcorn! A couple of guys in Illinois were using it a few years ago and were really spanking the carp on it,

Sorry that you dont get what I mean richard
I mean NATURAL PEPPER OIL..so the fresh peppers are pressed in to an oil ( not the kinda oils you get for normal food use)
I had this imported to holland by koi breeders to colour the kois red..and its better then robin red for sure
It is way to expensive to import it at the moment so because I know you live so close to mexico I mention it
