Probably the best that we can hope for under the TT contract is the use of the newly built ramps..with a launch fee.

So if the lakes become privately owned....will there still be stocking going on? Doesn't TPWD do the stocking? If they do, shouldn't they NOT stock these lakes since they will become private? Just looking for info.

Steve...I believe your right. I don't think TP&W will stock a lake at tax payers expense, unless there is public access to that body of water.

These statements are what we can use if CPS does not offer a viable and satisfactory solution to this problem:

CPS Energy will continue to own the lakes and the park property.

Our goal is still to keep the parks running after SARA departs on Nov 30 without interruption .

The glass is still half-full.

has anyone checked to see if thousand trails has issued any info on a new park. they may put in an rv area and keep the boat ramps public. i think they will need to keep the ramps open since these are semi public lakes. if they do what the LCRA has done the fees will be a lot higher.

Tomorrow...The last day you will have a chance to get a new yearly pass. I got mine today. And, YES, they have to honor it. Rumor has it that they want to privitize the lake. I don't see how that can happen, BUT... Also was told that the yearly membership fee would be 4 grand. AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN MY FRIEND!

Whatever happens, happens. For those of you who know Janet, the lady that runs the office in the a.m most days, tomorrow is her last day so please give her a call or drop by and see her. Let her know that she will be missed.

Keep the faith guys and gals. Maybe things won't be as bad as we've been hearing. See ya on the waters.

Mike

it doesn't cost $4,000 for a deer lease. that is an exageration. the thousands trails on lake tawakoni is a little higher than a regular campground. they have some campgrounds that are entirely private, but a lot are open to the public for a fee.

Well that's not to bad I guess. The additional fee for fishing after 8pm sounds a little stupid.

Yep boys bought a new pass and used it three times during thankgiving week. So of the 75 dollars I spent 21 is now off the pass so if I am out I will be out 54 dollars.

Fishing just to let you know the cats are biting I caught 18 on day one 21 on day two and the limit on day three most in the 4 to 5 pound range. Goodluck on the water.

Let the saga of the new era begin. I just hope they don't give me any hassles about using my yearly pass. We, all, have been assured that they will be honored until the date of experation.

For whomever of you are among the first to fish there from tomorrow on, please make a post of how your trip went as far as the new operators go.
