If you don't mind me asking are you catching them trolling or on brush piles? What's the approx depth your catching them on?? Haven't been crappie fishing in a while, but planning on going Sunday.
Trolled for about three hours yesterday morning and brought home 16 keepers. Only had a few throwbacks and a couple cats. Bite was good between 23-30 ft on ledges. Saw Craig out there this morning and he told me that he limited Friday PM. Good to meet you! Would have came home with a limit, but had to go home and help my son with some work he was doing.
Me and a buddy got on the lake at 7 am this morning and came home with 39. We had 1 almost 2.5 lbs and 3 more a little over 2 lbs. They were biting very hard and fast until they opened 3 gates. After that it slowed way down. But that is when all the big ones were caught. We only had 5 throw backs.
Limits common.
Fishing is good this time of year at Lavon if you present it they way they want it.
