I am truely blessed to still have my both my mom and dad with us. They are 89 and 86 years of age and both are still in good health. Crappie must be one healthy food because they would eat crappie once a week most of these years. Today my sisters and I are taking them out to eat at Saltgrass Steak House for their 69th wedding anniversary. Thats something you don't see everyday. I thought I would share this because many of you have meet my dad and ask about him regularly.

Wow you are most fortunate! Lost my dad when I was 15 and he was 47, same year JFK was killed in 1963 and about one month apart. Lost my mom at 72 in 1991, then soon after most of my aunts and uncles so only a couple of cousins living at all in my family.

Count you blessing for sure! Glad you have your family still here and around you.

You are blessed Cliff. I lost my dad in '71 to a car wreck but mother is still doing well at 84. She re-married when I was a teenager and I couldn't ask for a better step-father than the one I have.

No Stability whatsoever in your life Cliff. That is so awesomre to hear in these days and times. Congrats to them both and yes you are truly blessed!

Yes , you are blessed.I lost both of mine back in the mid 90's and miss them today. My in-laws are a blessing to me now ....they are celebrating 55yrs. this Dec. Enjoy the evening....you picked a darn good steakhouse!

Cliff I know exactly how you feel. I will be traveling to Alabama next week for Thanksgiving to visit my parents. My Father turned 90 in Sept and my mother turned 86 Nov 5th. My father has Alzheimer and hasn't known me for 10 years now but it always a blessing to spend time with him. He was my hero when I was growing up and I still feel the same about him today.
