Heya!!
Cathy Harper here, in Frisco Texas!! Have been fishing since I was a wee babe. Have been in Texas all my life, but learned to fish on trout in Colorado. Never even threw a line in Texas until I was 13 and first cast caught a 8lb Striper in a tributary of Lake Ray Hubbard. I've been married for 10 years and have 3 children (who I don't like to fish with due to age) ages 7 (boy), 5(boy), and 3(our lil princess). We recently to a vacation trip to Port Aransas, Texas and I got to go fishing all by myself, for the first time in SaltWater! Didn't catch a thing but watched woman pull in a 40 lb stingray, guys catching sharks, and a salt water species of catfish!! I stil have a ton to learn and want to take some of my girlfriends fishing with me. Any suggestions on where to go around Frisco?? Have no boat so must bank fish. But at any rate...excited to be here and excited to learn more and make some friends!
I have to admit..posting to threads is scary for me...always wonder if I've posted in the right spot. So feel free to move it to the correct spot if I've screwed up. Hehe!!

Wish you were closer TankGirl. Hard to find other women that love to fish. We have 3 also, now grown. Nice to finally have time to go and enjoy ourselves.

Welcome to the forum as well Tank Girl. I am a 50 year old woman, and also love to fish. I mostly fly fish though. I have been fly fishing for two and a half years. I still conventional fish though sometimes. My son fishes with me still, he just turned 17. My daughter used to fish till she was about my son's age, then she quit. I am hoping she will get back into it in two to three years. Fishing is my favorite hobby, along with tying flies, and gardening.
