As for a couple guides from Oklahoma, they do not like me fishing "THIER" water. As for the double pic, of me holding Josh's trout - Sorry. I was showing Josh how to correctly release a fish and he asked me to hold it up. whooped'd'doo. I forgot what pic that was about. I had 80 pix to go through before i posted and I didnt post them all. Next time Ill take a pen and paper and log everytime I take a pic when,where,how,why...ect. There are only a handfull of guides that take pictures and reports, and post them for everyone. Everyone and there dogs know there are time stamps on pictures. Do you really think over the last years I have not had someone try to call me out on issues like these? I dont cheat lie or steal. I have one job- FISHING GUIDE! So let me do my thing and make sure everyone has a great time with me, or use my posts and reports for your future trips. I dont see anyone else in LMF reporting, but see lots of people. It seems when I start catching lots of fish and some are not, the words try to fly around. If I see a big fish, I am going to cast to it! Im not there to catch stockers. I think 90% would agree that they would also cast to a fish that big anyday of the year. If the only time you had was a time of the year they were spawning, and work only allowed you to go at this time of year, I guarentee you, you would try to hook the monster! The fish gods placed them in the river to be caught. So there is no changing me on that. Dont hire me if you dont like the concept, but in my little world, im going for the big one always. So enough said on that. We both caught tons of fish that day and did not take a pic of every fish. But I did go back later in the day after that Double pic and caught the same one. I do not want to take a pic of every fish due to my camera is to far away sometimes, and dont want to kill the fish. Expecially the bigger ones. It seems to me every year I start a new thread (on any spiecies), there will always be someone tring to bash me. Im used to it now. I have theripists that text me, email me, and call me, before, I freak out and go postal on some of you. So thank you again shrinks! In this case, it is people from OK that dont appreciate me taking potential clients from them. I however, do not bash others out of respect for thier buisness. I am not a local guide here at the LMF, and I get absolutly no respect from the other guides on the LMF, obviously. -dont care either, But the thing about it is, I carry a fish guarentee and tell the client to let me know, at the end of the trip, if they had fun and learned anything....If not, Don't Pay! It has never happened one time in 8 years of guiding. I dont have an ego or anything, I just know how to fish dam good and share what I know how to do best. So apparently, I am doing my job correctly. My last client caught more fish than anyone on the river Thursday, that were around us, so they said. It was stained water and hard fishing. But I worked my buttt off to put him on fish and he said he learned more in the 1st 2 hours than he did from (Mr. *^%$#@^%&, a local guide there). This forum is for reports, information, and bragging. So leave it at that and enjoy the pix and reports. Everyone has my phone number and email. If you have an issue, save yourself some time and get a hold of me personally and settle it that way. Dont destroy the threads. I had the same thing happen to my Sandbass thread, and it got erased totally, not locked. I had a lot of info on there i would love to see again or read up on. And thanks for not deleting the whole thread. As you can see it only takes one or two people to ruin it for everyone. Just keep it private if you have something to say to someone if you are going to be negitive. I have little kids that follow my posts. Just be respectfull please or I will tell on you. Xmas is coming, and know of 2 people getting coal and a broken rod from santa. -------------Enjoy the pictures! Tight Lines, -Carey

I am the guy that Carey took out on LMF this past Thursday morning (Nov 12th). I've only been fly fishing for about a year or so. I've only fished the LMF and the Rio Pueblo in New Mexico. My first time to LMF was last Feb...I hired a local guide and basically learned nothing during that trip. That first trip i hooked up on 4 or 5 fish, but only landed one the entire day.
Totally different story with Carey. I have to say that I learned a great deal from him. Fishing was very slow on Thursday. The water was stained and no one was catching fish...based off the conversations we had with the other anglers on the river. Carey was able to put me on alot of fish and I had a great time. I asked him at the beginning of the day to mainly help me with my casting mechanics. Yes I wanted to catch fish of course, but I was most interested in becomming a better fly fisherman. By the end of the trip I was casting effortlessly. I feel much more confident on the water now. I would totally recommend Carey to anyone.

Thanks for clarifying your opinions on the previous posts and other issues. Now we can all understand it and form our own opinions.

Tarponfly, your website says that your only interest is to put your clients on fish. i have to wonder whether you have given either your effort or money to help the people who are improving, bit by bit, the river you use to make your living? some folks are just takers--i wonder where you fall? for example, most of your pictures show evening hole. did you contribute any time, effort or money when the improvements were done--or do you just suck up the benefits? have you contributed anything to the new lost creek that will be built after the end of the year--or to the repairs that will be done to spillway creek---or to efforts to clean the pipes at the re-reg dam, so that the river will support 3-4 more miles of fishable waters--well, on behalf of us who have worked to get these things done, i really hope you make a hell of a living fishing a river that you did not have a damn thing to do with.
This is an unacceptable personal attack. RRHYNE56

Gee Sandy, you make it sound like none of us should be allowed to fish the LMF. So far, all of your posts on this site have been attacks on one person. Surely, you have something else to say about some other topic? Maybe start a new post about the LMF that talks about how you like to fish the LMF. We love fishing reports. Rex

Everybody who goes to the LMF to fish contributes to the river, they do so from the purchase of a FISHING LICENSE and a TROUT STAMP. The proceeds from those go to the Oklahoma department of wildlife to stock and maintain that fishery, so any one who legally chooses to fish there contributes. Since he isnt an Oklahoma resident he pays more than normal for his licenses as well as bringing clients from out of state who also buy licenses at a higher price. You should grow up and keep all of your negative comments to yourself, you dont own the river and just because you help maintain the fishery doesn't give you any more of a right to fish it than anyone else. If you spent more time fishing than you do bad mouthing someone on a forum you might be as successful on the river as he is.

He charges $125 for a trip which is substantially less than most guides charge which is probably why he catches a lot of grief from them. I hired him for the sandbass run a while back and i have seen him with numerous paying clients. He is well known on this forum as a guide, check the rowlett creek sandbass run thread in the bankfishing section. He has his own guide website if he was all BS i dont think he would have a website. If you have any questions for give him a call/PM/email his number and website are in his first post.
