I hope this doesn't get moved. I understand if it does. Guys I am deployed from Fort Hood right now and will not be back till the 1st part of Dec. I got an email requesting help with this tourney but I won't be home to make it. So I thought I could turn to my TFF family for help. I know its short notice but would hope some of you can make it. Details are as follows.
Location: Temple Lake Park
Date: November 21, 2009
Time: 0645- 1400 (6:45am - 2pm)
Registration: 0400-0700 at the ramp
Entry Fee: $75 per boat PLUS one toy or 5 canned food items
Style: 5 bass stringer (Black bass, Smallmouth)
1lb deduction for weighing in a dead bass.
1st Place - $1,000
2nd - $500
3rd - $200
4th - $150
5th = $75
6th = $50
7th = $25

The money raised by this event will go to the victims of the shootings. The
toys will be donated to Santa's Workshop and go to the soldiers and
families of Ft Hood. The food that is collected will go to the Food
Pantries that make up the food baskets during the holidays for the soldiers
and families on Ft Hood.

Thanks again guys hope you guys can help out.
Mike

Mike,
Sorry I can't. Live in Kansas, work Friday nights until 23:00. But can we send some money (100% that would go directly to the cause, not any going towards prize money). If so, let me know where to send it and what to put on the check. Thank you and your comrads for all that you do. My sympathy goes out to you and all the loved ones of the victims of Fort Hood. It has hurt all of us. I saw the memorial on TV the other day and my heart aches. Makes things like the price of gas, economy, job market, etc. seem so petty. You guys and gals keep safe over there.flag

I cannot be there either.

If you could post an address to send a toy or two I would consider it an honor to do so.

Thank you,

Jack

I will be in my Cobra 180. It is white with a red broken stripe on each side and a wide red stripe on the top cap. I will have my dog with me as well....he is an 80 lb. white shepherd/wolf mix so you can't miss him.
If any of you guys going see me and the dog give us a shout. I have only met one other TFFer out at the lake.

Oh, and crankin'_dave will with me too......he will be the beaner in the back with all the Longhorn stuff on..... scared

Wow, crankin'_dave, that's a bold prediction! I hope to fish too. Are any of the service men or women going to be present at the weigh in?

Yeah, that prediction was just a joke! grin I know there will be a lot of good anglers out there. I wouldnt be surprised if there would be a few soldiers fishing this as well.

Rick,

The Shilo Inn on WS Young is nice if you want to spend the money, other than that there are a ton of Marriots and Hiltons that offer fair rates in town.

Is this a Draw tourney?

Glad your coming down Rick. I am not sure where we are staying. I will be setting up the stage Friday late afternoon and since registration opens at 4:00am I may rack out at the ramp.
