Let the debate and the fights lol begin. I think it is Joe Pool based on the strength of sheer numbers.

The answer will change depending on your criteria for 'best'. Those wanting fast action, no matter what size might agree with you. Those wanting to target big fish might not. Or those who like an out of the way place without a lot of traffic, pedestrians, boats, etc. may have another answer. (IMHO)

Ok the best for big carp and then the best for numbers. for numbers Joe Pool. Size White Rock, or Tawokoni.

Gotta go with Grapevine. I think I've only blanked once there in 2 years. Much better average size than Joe Pool too. Pulling in 2 lb. carp is fun for the kids though over there.

People will argue for White Rock for bigger fish. I like numbers like I can get at Joe Pool and Lake Arlington. If I want to go for bigger fish, I don't mind hitting the road (Emma). White Rock is a great producer for a downtown high traffic area. However, I would have to vote for Joe Pool for sheer numbers with the outside chance at a good fish.

For size I like T-Wok I have never caught a carp under 15 lbs at that lake and always catch at least a couple.

For numbers I'd say Ken Gooden Park or Joe Pool for big fish it is Ghostie all the way. White rock is only good for an occasional 20

I'm much bigger on the small waters than the lakes. I'd rather catch one or two teen-20's than 20 single digit fish anyday.
That said, my father and I had a blast fishing Grapevine last spring. We had a few 20-40 fish days but we probably only caught one or two that broke 10, and the occasional high teen to low 20 buff makes up for the lack of carp size hehe.
For the lakes, I'd say WR for size, and though I've never fished it, Joe Pool seems to be the numbers lake in DFW. I've also fished Lewisville a couple of times, both short sessions, but many fish caught (carp and buff both) each time, though nothing over 8lbs. or so.

Lake Arlington can produce some pretty good numbers as well

Lavon has a lot of 8lb to 15lb fish, once they are chummed in it turns in to a one rod day. Ive had many double runs while fishing lavon and although i have yet to get a 20 from there the fish that are in there are fat and scrappy.

I was going to say Ghostie, but I've only fished Ghostie in the DFW area.
Oops! I also fished White Rock; it rocks!
I also like the ponds over the big reservoirs; no jetskis!
