has anyone fished Braunig lately? if so, how'd you do?

Once my fishing partner (who will remain nameless, lol) gives me the word, we'll get out there.

Have only fished it from a boat once, and then we kind of got lucky. maybe it was skill, but more than likely it was luck.

Thanks

Chief, they are there. Me and my buddies have fished there the last 3 or 4 times out and found good fish each time. The last trip was on a sunny nice day, we had to work hard to find them, but we did. Might not see the numbers like cally, but the size makes up for it.
We'll be out there tomorrow, hopefully with the clouds and pending system coming, they'll be more active.
PM if ya need more info.

Army Chief,,

For what its worth, I was out there yesterday fishing from the bank, not a single good bite :(, same old braunig I remember from the past, there were at least 6 other groups fishing in the same general area thoughout the day and no one caught anything from the bank.

Im putting funds together to go out with Cliff Hill again thumb, need to restock the freezer.

I usually go out to Cally every week, decided this week I would give braunig a shot before the lake management changes..
Oh well, back to Cally next week.

Laterz,
dafanman cool

i was out there yesterday and i only caught 4, they where nice size , the biggest went 6 lbs. i caught them on big marvs . i also had three poles with shad heads on an never got a bite in four hours.i also had out three jugs line (5 hooks each) loaded with the rest of the shad and never got a bite. 1 at the little outlet, one at the big outlet and one over by the pipe where they bring water into the lake and yes they where generating.also no one i talked to had caught much either . but that how braunig is. to quote Big Country Hill " somtimes you just gotta be humbled whe you fish braunig"

was out there last night fishing off the bank. got there at 5 till almost midnight and didnt catch a thing. mad i was using live tilapia and shrimp. i hate fishing at braunig off the bank.. U get better results fishing off the boat at braunig if you kno the spots. I think bank fishing is better at calaveras

I agree, you really need a boat to be consistantly sucessful on Braunig.
