Hey guys, I need some help... I have been fishing a spot that I know has carp in it. I have caught a few and absolutely love it. However, this spot is also full of bullheads. I catch about ten bullheads to every one carp. I've been using corn and bread for bait. Is there any bait or tactic that will help keep the bullheads away? Would a bigger or smaller bait help? Thanks in advance. You guys have always been a huge help.

Try making some boilies in 18mm, any fruit flavor will work. When ever i get in to the cats real bad i either put on one big boilie or two medium size, seems to keep the cats at bay for the most part. I catch more carp than cats on fruit flavors so that may be some where to start.

somebody told me to put some texas pete on there and it would keep the cats away too...

I'd like to know too. There are some awesome small waters with big carp that I've fished but unfortunately they're infested with bullhead too. Secret Swim comes to mind...

I even caught a few bullhead at Reading the last time I was there, which was discouraging as I had never gotten one there before.

Someone told me once that the only cure for bullhead infestation is a big flathead or three.
