We are now into November and the water has cooled enough that the bigger fish are starting to move out into the deeper water. This signals the end of topwater season which is my favorite time of the year. It will be sassy shad, slabs and live bait under the birds for the rest of the year. We will be getting into some big blues on a consistent basis along with our stripers, hopefully starting next month. Here are some of my biggest fish on top for this fall. Feel free to add your biggest topwater fish for 2009. The following fish were caught from the end of August through the end of October on Lake Texoma, all on topwater and ALL were released.

Good Luck to All,
Brian

Nice fish Brian. I would post my topwater fish from last month but only got into them 1 time & they were all long & very skinny, not impressive. In the spring may have gone 8+#'s but not that day. Will be there Saturday for the day probably fishing west though. Maybe we'll catch up w/ you. Did you get a deer?

Yes, I shot a smaller 7 point for some meat. It is a 2 buck county down there. I never saw anything that I wanted to fill the other tag with though.

Thanks!

I caught a couple of small fish like that too. Its amazing that those tiny fish will attack that giant plug. That just proves how aggressive those fish are.
