before I got all tarty and started buying anything I could get my hands on I made most of my stuff. Richard and I were talking about using oval floats for hangers and I told him about mine that used to use. They are easy to make and worked well.

Materials
3 oval floats
3 bobbi pins
3' bead chain w/ 3 connectors/couplings
1/4oz egg sinkers
3 snap swivels
assorted rubber bands
3 small fishing glow sticks

First remove the guts from the floats. then run the bead chain through the float. loop a rubber band through the bottom of the bobbi pin then pull the rubber band and bobbie pin down through the float. you might have to wrap the bobbi pin with rubber bands to "shim" it in the float snug. You want just about 1/2" or the bobbi pins sticking out the top of the float.with the other loop end of the rubber band place the egg sinker then the snap swivel. Place the coupling on the end of the bead chain then attach to the snap swivel. You can then attach the other end of the bead chain to your bankstick and tie off with a rubber band. Stick your glow stick in the top of the float by the line clip and you are set.

Here is mine in action

i made these today with chenille wire , bell weights, and bobby pins . just connect 2 wires by twisting together ( about 24 inches ) rund one end thru the bell sinker about 2-3 inches and give it a couple of wraps the run it thru the bobby pen and twist a coyple of times .then take the other end and wrap it around the base of your alarm (adjust to desired lenth) .after you cast just clip the bobby pin to the line . they worked great tonight(they un-clip easily when setting hook and they dont fall off in the wind ) and i didnt have to spend anything since i already had these items ..sorry about the pictures . ps. i bet some fishing line would do the trick too instead of the wire
