Perhaps usefull information for others trying to make bait... Normal spot for me to make threadfin and gizzards proved dry for me today. Water level is definitely higher after all these rains and brush that used to be exposed (where I'd sometimes net shad) is now under water.

I didn't have time to try another spot.
