I was looking at the TPWD website and notice Lake Texana. I know nothing about this lake, what is it like for bass fishing? Any good or bad time of the year? Any answers will be appreciated.
That lake has really been down. A website I look at says it is only 65% full. As you might have seen, the TPWD website says the lake is only fair for bass fishing and excellent for crappie. I really haven't seen much positive or negative written about that lake.

There was plenty of water in it when I went over it this weekend on my way to Coleto. It muddies up real bad but in the summer the navida river will clear up and there is plenty of decent bass in the river. also some relly good bass fishing in the jungel area but tought to get in there at times. there are areas of the lake that will get clear but pretty much depends on the amount of rain. there are places on this lake that the bass have never seen a lure and they act like it too.
