Im looking for some help with drifting for blues where there are stumps. I know there are a lot of fish we catch them on jugs. It is a old lake 3hrs west, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Tie or anchor with 2 anchors to keep your boat from swaying too bad, one in front, and one in back, fish for 15-20 minutes, if no bites move, use a bottom float rig to keep your bait out of the mud!

Team Catfish sells some snag-free sinkers. Than and a Santee-Cooper rig but I still don't think it would work well for you. Like they said I would anchor or tie off and move after 20min or so if they're not biting. I think you'd get hung up too often to do much good.

thank you for the advise, the lake has alot of flooded timber and cat-tails in 2-5 feet of water. I have caught a lot of fish on jugs and i know there is a lot of fish and not much fishing is done on it!! it is full or crappie too. i will post how it goes for me. What depth of water will they be in come december????

It is made from Malin #12 hard steel leader. The weight will pull loose when hung up with about 15-20lbs of pressure. Always use braid with this rig and you can drift up to 25' with 1oz of lead. If in deep water go to 2oz of lead, can drift up to 40'. Use a small (1 1/4") cigar float on your leader line. Make sure your leader line is smaller poundage than your main line.

can someone please post a link for this Santee-Cooper rig that im reading about? Ive never heard of it before.
