Last two times out, Saturday was the last, I've had a good spro bite early. Must have at least 20 blow-ups on top of grass mats. The fish I caught were fat 2 to 4 pounders. I didn't find any on deep structure this weekend but did on my previous trip. The grass bite stopped for me as soon as the sun got up.
Thanks everyone be heading there tomorrow hopefully. Man sounds like the grass bite aint that good, i was killing them on the grass last month with a cb and spinnerbait alo g the grass. See what happens!!

txbassfisher....
Im heading out on saturday. Whats the good word?
I have not been in 2 weeks but I have my ideas of a pattern right now lets see if I am right...
I am going to call it right now before even going out there... lol
Fish will be caught but not any big size fish. Grass bite is very slow. Timber bite is better. And nothing caught over 4-5 pounds. With most of the fish coming in the morning with a few scattered in the afternoon which is when you caught that one big fish on a soft plastic of some kind in a bit deeper water on structure.
I hope Im wrong cause that pattern sucks!
lmao

Land was created to provide a place for boats to visit!! It is when pirates count their booty that they become mere thieves. ARRRRRR....
If I was to fish Choke this weekend I would concentrate on 12-18' of water main lake points and creek channels. I would work just along the edge of the breaks. Crank Baits and C-Rigged BIG Plastics. Sure wished I could make it down there this weekend BUT I got other things I need to get done around the house. Got some work I need to do to the boat also (if I can ever find the darn time). TIGHT LINES to all of y'all going and post some pics & reports!

fished today from 730am-5pm. 5 fish total. 2 keepers. biggest about 2-3 lbs. weightless senko, deep crank, r-trap, t-rig and c-rig. you figure the pattern. ok, maybe grass lines were involved. fished 4 fingers area. spoke to two other boats, both said it was slow also.
