Motoroil plastic worm and shad-colored topwater worked well for us this past weekend (in the main pond).

A couple of days with stable weather and the water clearing a bit seems to have the activity picking up, caught six small bass in the fountain pond at Bethany and eight at 1378 yesterday, all on an H2O shallow crank- only dives a foot. Used a chrome sexy shad color.

That crank had the little guys buzzing but I'm hoping the water continues to clear up and I can go to some other baits to get on some bigger fish.

my friend and i went fishing at the middle pond in lost creek neighborhood. we used cooked turkey bacon about three or four feet down and caught some big catfish. mine was 19 inches and he had two that went over two foot. dont put your rod down though because they hit fast then run. i had to jump in after mine

Heard someone had a big day out there with a fly rod and thought it might have been you. The story the witness told me was that while reeling in a small bass in front of the outlet on the pond with the fountain the fish was hammered by a six pounder and the angler landed the larger fish with the hooked one in its mouth. Pretty cool story either way. I ended up having good luck out there again on a very shallow crankbait that stays up out of the snot grass. All little guys for me, though.

And I know what you mean- I didn't get on a deer lease this year but I've got ducks on the brain....

I can believe a 6 pounder. Have seen some Bruisers in the Spring on their beds. Just won't bite anything.

Fished Bethany Lakes earlier today without success. Came back for another try in the evening. Ended with a Bluegill and a little Bass and more missed strikes. Today's Catch.

Fished Lake Lavon's tailrace this morning. Caught 5 White Bass using surfcasting gear and Cork and Jig Rigs like we used at Denison Dam's tailrace. Fun to stretch a line! Today's Catch.
