After tending to an extensive list of "honey-do's"(and on a RARE Saturday afternoon off, no less!) I could not stand it any more! So i packed an ultralight with new line, and a bag of jigs and Rooster Tails, and headed to one of my favorite Spring and Autumn creeks, less than 5 minutes from my house looking for some crappie and bass.
Got to the creek, and got no fish, but thought that the mosquitoes were going to literally drain every ounce of blood in my body!! Worse than any time you can imagine in the spring or summer!!! And they are starving! They swarm, and have no qualms about making you miserable!
Packed up stuff, such as it was, and headed to one of my favorite spring and summertime honey holes! Notorious for huge bluegills and world class bass, literally!
Tied on the black rooster tail, black with silver blade, and GOT BUSY!
IT WAS ON, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Over the next hour to hour and a half, roughly right before sunset to a bit after total Darkness, 12 Beauties landed, running from 1-6 lbs. One Twice summersaulting Monster, easily in the 7-8 lb range, that threw the 'Tail, and several hookups that i never saw that spit out the Rooster, quick as a hiccup!
Beautiful healthy, fat fish, rich colored, from Crystal Clear water that has a rich bed of hydrilla and coon tail moss!! Life can be AWESOME!

I did catch 12 but got 10 pics. If you look close on several of the pics, you can see the rooster tail embedded in the jaws and lips! Each of these fish is a different fish, although they are so close in size and so healthy they may look alike, lol! There is a possibility i may have caught same fish more than once, but i doubt it.
Awesome Indian Summer Bass trip, no doubt!
