Was just looking for some personal opinions on which type of smoking chips you use for grilling. Have tried the mesquete chips and they taste pretty well. Has anyone ever tried the apple or cherry chips?
Thanks.

Apple is good with pork. Pecan is nice with steaks, but don't overdue it.

I dont like mesquite with anything. I prefer hickory for bbq and apple for pork like TG.

I smoke with black cherry. Pecan is my back-up until I can get back to Illinois for another load of black cherry.
